Cutting a Fruit-Bearing Tree Without the Owner's Permission

Authored by: Fatwas of the Saudi Fatwa Committee

Cutting a fruit-bearing tree without the permission of its owner is haram (prohibited).
  1. Anyone who cuts such a tree must compensate the owner for its monetary value.
  2. Similarly, if someone cuts branches from a date tree, they are required to pay an amount equivalent to the local market value based on the prevailing conditions.
This ensures fairness and respects the ownership rights established by Islamic law.
