Al-Faṣl fī al-Milal wa al-Ahwā’ wa al-Niḥal by Ibn Ḥazm, 3/229
Anyone claiming prophethood after the Prophet ﷺ is a liar and a deceiver. Despite this, several imposters have appeared throughout history, among them Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, who met a humiliating end as foretold:
"إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا"
🗓 Mirza died on 26 May 1908, while Mawlānā Thanaullah lived until 1948, continuing to serve Islam for another 40 years. This event exposed Mirza’s falsehood and fulfilled his own supplication.
"صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ"
They claim it includes the four categories: Prophets, Truthful, Martyrs, and Righteous, and argue that if Prophethood were truly ended, invoking this prayer would be meaningless.
② The guidance sought is towards the path, not to become a Prophet.
③ The verse implies afterlife companionship, not worldly attainment.
④ Prophethood is not granted via supplication.
⑤ Qur’an 28:82 and 6:124 confirm that Prophethood is divinely bestowed, not requested.
⑥ Only three roles—Truthful, Martyrs, and Righteous—are said to continue, not Prophethood.
⑦ No Prophet or Companion ever made a supplication to become a Prophet.
⑧ Even Muslim women have recited this prayer without becoming Prophets.
⑨ Mirza’s claim of Prophethood thus contradicts reality and history.
⑩ Prophethood ended with:
"مَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَاۤ أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَـٰكِنْ رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ"
⑪ A truthful trader will be with the Prophets, not one of them.
⑫ "مع" (with) indicates companionship, not equality.
⑬ Even Mirza admitted in Tuhfa Golrawiyyah that the path means following the Companions and the Promised Messiah’s group, not asking for Prophethood.
Chashma Ma’rifat, Tuhfa Golrawiyyah, A’ina Kamalat-e-Islam – All evidence his unethical speech and behavior.
The complete discussion on this is available in Badīʿ al-Tafāsīr under Āl ʿImrān, al-Nisā’, and al-Mā’idah.
"And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him, and follows a path other than that of the believers – We will turn him to what he has chosen and burn him in Hellfire."
(al-Nisā’ 4:115)

◈ Introduction to Qadianism
This group, founded by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, is commonly referred to as Qadianis, though they call themselves Ahmadis. Below are some of their core beliefs, followed by their refutation based on authentic Islamic sources.✿ Denial of the Finality of Prophethood
From the earliest generations to the latest, the unanimous belief of Muslims has been that Muḥammad ﷺ is the final Prophet and Messenger. With his advent, prophethood has concluded, and no new Prophet will come until the Day of Judgment. Anyone who believes otherwise or declares someone else to be a prophet is unanimously considered a disbeliever.Anyone claiming prophethood after the Prophet ﷺ is a liar and a deceiver. Despite this, several imposters have appeared throughout history, among them Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, who met a humiliating end as foretold:
✔ Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s Mubahala (Mutual Invocation of Curse)
Being confronted and refuted by Shaykh al-Islam Mawlānā Thanaullah Amritsari رحمه الله, Mirza published a public challenge and curse (Mubahala). He prayed to Allah, saying that if he was a liar and deceiver, he should die during Thanaullah’s lifetime.🗓 Mirza died on 26 May 1908, while Mawlānā Thanaullah lived until 1948, continuing to serve Islam for another 40 years. This event exposed Mirza’s falsehood and fulfilled his own supplication.
❀ Corrupt Interpretation of Qur’anic Verses
Qadianis attempted to corrupt the meanings of Qur’anic verses to prove the continuity of prophethood. One such distortion involves:"صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ"
They claim it includes the four categories: Prophets, Truthful, Martyrs, and Righteous, and argue that if Prophethood were truly ended, invoking this prayer would be meaningless.
❖ Refutations:
① The verse refers to companionship, not inclusion in Prophethood.② The guidance sought is towards the path, not to become a Prophet.

✿ Belief in Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as a Prophet
Qadianis believe in the Prophethood of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. However:- He has uttered blatant lies.
- He has attributed false sayings to Allah and the Prophet ﷺ.
- His books contain fabricated Hadiths and false claims.
- He insulted senior scholars, Companions, and others using foul and abusive language.
❖ Blasphemous and Heretical Claims
Examples of his blasphemous statements:- Claimed: "I saw in a dream that I am God."
- Claimed: "I have been granted the power to give life and death."
- Claimed: "If I say ‘Be’, it is."
✿ Denial of the Life and Return of ʿĪsā عليه السلام
Qadianis deny that ʿĪsā عليه السلام is alive and that he will return. However:- The Qur’an and Hadith affirm his return.
- This denial implies doubt in Allah’s power, which is tantamount to disbelief.
- The belief in the return of ʿĪsā عليه السلام is agreed upon by the entire Ummah.
