Sourced from: Fatāwā Amini Puri by Shaykh Ghulām Mustafa Ẓahīr Amn Puri

❀ Question

If a person remains asleep through five prayers, will he make up all those prayers upon waking?

❀ Answer

If a person misses prayers due to sleep, then upon waking he must immediately perform all the missed prayers.

❀ Ḥāfiẓ Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr (رحمه الله, d. 463 AH) stated:

"أجمعوا أن من نام عن خمس صلوات قضاها"
There is consensus that whoever slept through five prayers must make them up.
(al-Tamhīd, 3/290)

ھذا ما عندي والله أعلم بالصواب
