What is the ruling on urinating while standing and taking sacred papers into the bathroom?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
According to Islamic law, urinating while standing is permissible with the following two conditions:
➊ Protection from urine splashes
◈ If a person ensures that no drops of urine fall on their clothes or body, then urinating while standing is allowed.
➋ Protection of ʿawrah (private parts)
◈ A person should be in a position where no one else can see their private parts.
