1. Time of Performance (Adāʾ) for Stoning Jamrat al-ʿAqabah

Stoning on the Day of Eid (10th Dhul-Hijjah)

◈ Stoning Jamrat al-ʿAqabah is done on the Day of Eid.
◈ For the weak, women, and those unable to bear the crowd, the time begins from midnight of the night before Eid.

For General Pilgrims

◈ The time begins from Fajr on the Day of Eid and continues until the Fajr of the 11th Dhul-Hijjah.

2. Time for Stoning During the Days of Tashriq

◈ On the 11th, 12th, and 13th Dhul-Hijjah, the time for stoning all three Jamarāt:

  • Begins after Zawal (start of Dhuhr time)
  • Continues until Fajr of the following day

Exception for the 13th Dhul-Hijjah:
◈ Stoning at night is not allowed, because the Days of Tashriq end at sunset of the 13th.

3. Best Time for Stoning

◈ The best time is during the daytime.

However, due to today’s large crowds and lack of consideration among some pilgrims:

  • If there is a fear of death or serious harm, stoning at night is permissible.
  • Even without danger, night stoning is allowed if needed.
  • Nonetheless, it is better to avoid night stoning unless there is a need, as a precaution.

4. Time of Qadāʾ (Make-up Stoning)

◈ Once Fajr of the next day begins, the stoning of the previous day becomes Qadāʾ.

Example:
If someone did not stone on the Day of Eid and Fajr of the 11th Dhul-Hijjah has begun, that stoning is now considered Qadāʾ.
