Narration from Sahih Muslim – Reported by Abu Musa (رضي الله عنه):
Muslim narrates a story from Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (رضي الله عنه).
He mentions that the Prophet ﷺ sent him to Yemen and later sent Mu'adh ibn Jabal (رضي الله عنه) after him.
When Mu'adh arrived, Abu Musa said to him, "Please dismount," and threw him a cushion to sit upon.
At that time, there was a man bound nearby.
Mu'adh asked, "Who is this?"
Abu Musa replied, "This man was a Jew, then he accepted Islam, and later reverted back to his evil religion, becoming a Jew again."
Mu'adh said, "I will not sit until he is killed — this is the judgment of Allah and His Messenger."
