Can a Woman Perform Iʿtikāf at Home? Sharʿī Guidance

Can a woman perform iʿtikāf (spiritual retreat) at home?
❖ Answer:
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ammā baʿd!
A woman may engage in worship at home; however, she cannot perform iʿtikāf at home.
The reason is that iʿtikāf for a woman at home is neither established from the Qur’an nor supported by any authentic evidence from the Sunnah or ḥadīth of the Prophet ﷺ.
Hādhā mā ʿindī, wallāhu aʿlam biṣ-ṣawāb.
