Can Magic Control the Affairs of Allah ﷻ?

Question:
Can magic overpower or control the affairs of Allah ﷻ?
Answer:
Magic is real and has an effect. Through it, certain extraordinary events can occur. However, a magician cannot manifest those signs which are exclusively reserved for Allah ﷻ.
❀ ʿAllāmah al-Qurṭubī رحمه الله (d. 671H) said:
أجمع المسلمون على أنه ليس فى السحر ما يفعل الله عنده إنزال الجراد والقمل والضفادع وفلق البحر وقلب العصا وإحياء الموتى وإنطاق العجماء، وأمثال ذلك من عظيم آيات الرسل عليهم السلام، فهذا ونحوه مما يجب القطع بأنه لا يكون ولا يفعله الله عند إرادة الساحر.
"The Muslims are unanimous that magic cannot produce those actions which belong exclusively to Allah ﷻ, such as sending down locusts, lice, and frogs from the sky, splitting the sea, transforming a staff, resurrecting the dead, granting speech to the mute, and other great miracles of the Messengers. Thus, it is certain that such things neither occur by the will of the magician nor does Allah ﷻ cause them to occur at his desire."
