Question:
When the time for sacrifice arrives and there is no man present at home, can a woman slaughter the sacrificial animal in such a situation?
Answer:
Yes, if all the other conditions of slaughtering the animal are being fulfilled, a woman can slaughter the sacrificial animal or any other animal in times of necessity. It is recommended to mention the name of the living or deceased person on whose behalf the sacrifice is being made at the time of slaughter. However, if this is not possible, then merely having the intention is sufficient. If the person slaughtering mistakenly mentions someone else's name instead of the intended person's, there is no harm, as Allah, the Lord of Glory, is fully aware of the intentions.
And Allah is the Granter of success.
