✔ Beneficial knowledge and scholarly content,
→ because the primary purpose is to access the information and knowledge, while the images are secondary and non-essential.
The ruling follows the main objective, not the subordinate element.
✦ If such publications are to be kept in a place of prayer, the images should be:
➤ Properly erased or
➤ Covered in a way that their features are no longer visible.
This makes it permissible to place them in the prayer area and benefit from their useful content.

Purchasing newspapers and magazines that contain images of living beings is permissible, if they include:✔ Important news, or
