Lessons from the Hadiths
- Severing Family Ties is a Major Sin:
- The Prophet (ﷺ) explicitly stated that breaking ties with family members is a grave sin that can prevent one from entering Paradise.
- This sin incurs the displeasure of Allah and His severe punishment.
- Family Ties are Sacred in Islam:
- The term “rahm” (womb or family ties) is derived from Allah’s name, Ar-Rahman, signifying its sacredness and importance.
- Breaking family ties equates to disrespecting this sacred bond.
- Deeds are Rejected:
- Acts of worship and good deeds performed by someone who severs family ties are not accepted by Allah. Maintaining family relationships is a prerequisite for the acceptance of one’s actions.
