Best Duas for Protection from the Torment of the Grave and Hellfire

Written by: Qari Usama bin Abdus Salam

Below are some of the most powerful and effective supplications for seeking Allah’s protection from the torment of the grave and the punishment of Hellfire:

① Dua for Protection from the Torment of the Grave

Translation:
“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, the punishment of the Fire, the trial of the Dajjal, and the trials of life and death.”

② Dua for Safety from the Torment of the Grave and Hellfire

Translation:
“O Allah! Make my grave a garden from among the gardens of Paradise, and do not make it a pit from among the pits of Hellfire.”

③ Dua for Protection from Hellfire

Translation:
“O Allah! Save us from the punishment of the Fire, from the trial of the grave, and from the trial of the Dajjal.”

④ Dua for Forgiveness and Salvation

Translation:
“O Allah! Wash him (mention the deceased’s name) with water and ice, and purify him from sins as a white garment is cleansed from dirt.”

⑤ Dua for Mercy and Forgiveness

Translation:
“O Allah! Do not punish us for what we did out of ignorance, forgive us, and do not destroy us because of the deeds of the wicked.”

These supplications are a plea to Allah for deliverance from the torment of the grave and the punishment of Hell, while placing full hope in His mercy and forgiveness.
