Best Arabic Duas for All the People of the Graves

Here are some of the most beautiful and powerful Arabic supplications for all those in the graves, asking Allah for their protection from punishment, ease in the Hereafter, and abundant blessings of Paradise:

① Dua for Protection from the Torment of the Grave​

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُنَجِّيَ مَوْتَانَا مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَأَنْ تُجِيرَهُمْ مِنْ ظُلْمَتِهِ وَوَحْشَتِهِ
Translation:
“O Allah! We ask You to save our deceased from the torment of the grave, and to protect them from its darkness and loneliness.”

② Dua for Ease on the Day of Judgement​

اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَاجْعَلْهُمْ مِنَ الْفَائِزِينَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Make the Day of Judgement easy for them and include them among those who succeed through Your mercy.”

③ Dua for the Blessings of Paradise​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لَهُمْ نَعِيمَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَسُقْيَاهَا مِنْ حَوْضِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Grant them the blessings of Paradise and allow them to drink from the Hawd of Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.”

④ Dua for Light and Comfort in the Grave​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ قُبُورَهُمْ نُورًا وَفُسْحَةً وَرَوْحًا، وَلَا تَجْعَلْهَا ضِيقَةً وَعَذَابًا
Translation:
“O Allah! Fill their graves with light, space, and comfort, and do not make them places of tightness and punishment.”

⑤ Dua for a Place in Jannat al-Firdaws​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَثْوَاهُمْ فِي فِرْدَوْسِكَ الْأَعْلَى، مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Make their abode in Your highest Paradise, along with the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.”

⑥ Dua for the Fragrance and Breeze of Paradise​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ نَسِيمًا مِنْ نَسَائِمِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَاجْعَلْهَا بُسْتَانًا مِنْ بَسَاتِينِ الرَّحْمَةِ
Translation:
“O Allah! Send into their graves breezes from the breezes of Paradise, and make them gardens from the gardens of Your mercy.”

⑦ Dua for Protection from the Fire​

اللَّهُمَّ حَرِّمْ وُجُوهَهُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ، وَأَجِرْهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِهَا وَسَعِيرِهَا
Translation:
“O Allah! Make their faces forbidden to the Fire, and protect them from its punishment and its blazing flames.”

⑧ Dua for Safety from the Terror of the Hereafter​

اللَّهُمَّ أَمِّنْهُمْ مِنْ فَزَعِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَاجْعَلْهُمْ فِي ظِلِّ رَحْمَتِكَ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّكَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Grant them safety from the terror of the Day of Judgement, and place them under the shade of Your mercy on the Day when there will be no shade except Yours.”

⑨ Dua for Abundant Mercy in the Graves​

اللَّهُمَّ اغْشِ قُبُورَهُمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ كَمَا يُغْشَى الْبَحْرُ بِمَائِهِ، وَاجْعَلْهَا نُورًا يَتَلَأْلَأُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ
Translation:
“O Allah! Envelop their graves with Your mercy just as the sea is filled with its water, and make them shine with light until the Day of Resurrection.”

⑩ Dua for Eternal Paradise​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُمْ فِي دَارِ الْمُقَامَةِ الَّتِي لَا نَصَبَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعَبَ، وَفِي نَعِيمٍ دَائِمٍ لَا يَفْنَى
Translation:
“O Allah! Place them in the eternal abode where there is no fatigue or hardship, and in everlasting blessings that never end.”
