Bequeathing All of One's Wealth
It is appropriate that you bequeath one-third of your wealth or less, and then utilize it through a suitable productive means, using its income for acts of goodness and charity. For example, constructing mosques, giving charity to poor relatives and other needy people, etc. If, at any point, any of your descendants are in need, they too can benefit from it according to their necessity. After the one-third portion, the remaining wealth belongs to the heirs, just as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ advised Sa’d bin Mu’adh (رضي الله عنه) regarding his bequest.
