"The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, 'Which deed is the best?' He replied, 'Faith in Allah and His Messenger.'"

[Sahih Bukhari/Al-Iman: 26]

Benefits:

The word 'Aqidah' is derived from the root word 'Aqd', meaning to bind and strengthen. In Islamic terminology, it refers to a firm and decisive belief. If the firmness of the mind is based on truth, it is considered a correct belief (Aqidah Sahihah), but if it is based on falsehood, it is termed a false belief (Aqidah Batil). The following aspects are part of the correct belief in Islam:

❀ Having firm belief in Allah, His angels, His messengers, His books, the Day of Judgment, and in destiny, whether good or bad.

❀ Believing in everything proven by the Quran and authentic Sunnah, and being certain of its truth. This includes belief in Tawhid (the oneness of Allah), Iman (faith), matters of the unseen, Prophethood and Messengership, predestination, as well as rulings and news.

The Objectives and Purposes of Belief:

✿ To worship Allah alone with sincerity and to adopt the way of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in this worship.

✿ To free one's intellect, thoughts, and heart from every form of deviation and misguidance that may arise within.

✿ A person who embraces this belief never becomes a victim of restlessness or anxiety.

✿ Those who hold this belief should never miss any opportunity to perform righteous deeds in order to earn reward.

✿ To prepare individuals with strong character who are willing to sacrifice all their precious belongings for the sake of Allah’s religion and to endure any hardships that may come their way with patience and perseverance.
