Some individuals, in defense of atheism and modern research, argue that if a person, despite sincere investigation, remains unconvinced about the existence of God and denies it, they should be excused. This assumption implies that the existence of God is such a complex and intricate matter that even a genuinely honest effort might lead one astray. In reality, this is a highly erroneous and misleading notion.
The existence of God is a clear and self-evident truth, denial of which is only possible under two circumstances: either the individual's intention is corrupt or they have failed in properly investigating the truth. Without these two conditions, misguidance is not possible. When a person sincerely and truthfully searches for God, there remains no reason for him to go astray. On the contrary, the notion that one may remain a disbeliever despite sincerity and research is baseless.
The existence of God is an undeniable reality, while disbelief—especially in the form of atheism—is nothing but folly. Those who claim that disbelief is possible despite honesty and research are themselves victims of intellectual confusion. The path of sincerity and inquiry always leads to faith, making disbelief incompatible with it.
Faith is rooted in reason and wisdom, while disbelief is fueled by obstinacy, ignorance, and psychological distortions. Denying God is not just a rejection of the Creator, but a denial of one’s own created nature. Those who adopt atheistic ideologies rebel against their inherent disposition and cast themselves into intellectual and moral ruin.
For example, figures like Richard Dawkins, who continue to deny God even after extensive study and contemplation, exhibit a corrupted intellect and distorted nature. For such individuals, prayer is the appropriate response—not appeasement or the false reassurance that they might succeed in justifying their stance before God.
Another distressing aspect is that some people misinterpret Qur’anic verses to portray atheists as heroes of the Qur'an, such as in the case of Stephen Hawking. The Qur'an's message consistently invites to faith, and those who derive contrary meanings clearly fail to understand its true spirit. Stephen Hawking spent his life trying to deny the existence of God, whereas the Qur'an teaches that reflection upon the heavens and the earth leads to belief.
Atheists not only mislead themselves but also spread seeds of misguidance in society. Their ideologies are not just personal errors—they become causes of collective destruction. Hence, such individuals bear responsibility not only for their own misguidance but also for the deviation of all those influenced by their thoughts.
