Are mosque minarets established from any verbal, practical, or tacit approval hadith of the Prophet ﷺ?
Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa-s-salāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh. Ammā ba‘d:
To the best of my knowledge, there is no verbal, practical, or tacitly approved marfū‘ hadith from the Prophet ﷺ that proves the construction of mosque minarets.
In other words, there is no narration transmitted from the Prophet ﷺ that explicitly supports building minarets for mosques.
There is, however, one hadith related to the descent of ‘Isa (AS), in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned that ‘Isa (AS) will descend upon a minaret.
This indicates that tower-like structures existed or will exist, but it does not serve as a direct, explicit proof for the legislated status of mosque minarets.
