Question​

Are angels a creation of light?

✔ Answer​

Yes, angels are indeed a creation of light. This is explicitly mentioned in a Hadith from Sahih Muslim. It is narrated by ʿĀʾishah (رضي الله عنها) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"فرشتے نور سے پیدا کیے گئے، جن آگ کے شعلے سے، اور آدم کو اس چیز سے جو تمہیں بتا دی گئی ہے (یعنی مٹی سے)۔”
(Narrated by Muslim, referenced in Mishkat, Book of the Hereafter and the Beginning of Creation, Chapter on the Beginning of Creation and Mention of Prophets, Hadith: 5701)

This Hadith affirms that angels were created from light.
