❀ The Divine Command of Allah Almighty:
﴿عَلَى الْمُوسِعِ قَدَرُهُ وَعَلَى الْمُقْتِرِ قَدَرُهُ﴾
Translation:
“Upon the affluent is according to his means, and upon the one of limited means is according to his capacity.”
❖ Question:
What amount of maintenance (nafaqah) is obligatory upon the husband?✿ Answer:
No specific amount of maintenance has been fixed by the Sharīʿah. Rather, maintenance is obligatory according to the financial capacity of the husband.❀ The Divine Command of Allah Almighty:
﴿عَلَى الْمُوسِعِ قَدَرُهُ وَعَلَى الْمُقْتِرِ قَدَرُهُ﴾
