Abū Bakr Will Be the First to Enter Paradise from the Ummah of Muhammad (ﷺ)

❀ The Narration:​


Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) reports that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:


"Jibrīl (عليه السلام) came to me and showed me the gate of Paradise through which my Ummah will enter."
Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq (رضي الله عنه) was present on this occasion and said:
"O Messenger of Allah! I wish I had been with you to see that door."
The Prophet (ﷺ) replied:
"O Abū Bakr! You will be the first from my Ummah to enter Paradise."

📌 Ḥadīth Authentication:​


Its chain is weak (اسنادہ ضعیف).


[Abū Dāwūd, Kitāb al-Sunnah, Chapter: Regarding the Caliphs, Ḥadīth no. 4652 | Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ, Ḥadīth no. 6024 | Also narrated by ʿAbdullāh ibn Aḥmad in Faḍāʾil al-Ṣaḥābah 1/221, Ḥadīth no. 258]



Shaykh al-Albānī and other reliable scholars of ḥadīth have classified this narration as weak.
◉ One of its narrators, Abū Khālid Mawlā Āl Jaʿdah, is unknown (majhūl).
