Chapter: The Noble Example in Excellent Treatment of Servants
«باب: ذكر المثل الأعلى في حسن التعامل مع الخادم»

✦ The Prophet’s ﷺ Unmatched Character with Servants

«عن أنس رضي الله عنه، قال: خدمت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عشر سنين، فما قال لي أُفٍّ قط، ولا لِمَ صنعتَ؟ ولا ألا صنعتَ؟»

[Agreed Upon: Reported by al-Bukhārī 6038; Muslim 2309]
Narrated by Anas ibn Mālik (رضي الله عنه):
“I served the Prophet ﷺ for ten years. He never said to me, ‘Uff,’ nor did he ever say to me concerning something I had done: ‘Why did you do this?’ nor about something I had not done: ‘Why didn’t you do this?’”

✦ Reflections on the Prophetic Model

The Prophet ﷺ treated his servant with unmatched gentleness, patience, and dignity.
Not once did he express annoyance or rebuke.
This behavior sets the highest moral standard for all Muslims in how they should treat those under their care.
True leadership and character are reflected in how one treats the weakest and most dependent.
