A Grand Virtue of Reciting Āyat al-Kursī After Every Obligatory Prayer

❖ Question:​


Is the hadith that promises entry into Paradise for reciting Āyat al-Kursī after every obligatory prayer authentic?

✿ Answer:​


Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu was-salāmu ʿalā Rasūlillāh, ʾammā baʿd!


✦ The Virtue of Āyat al-Kursī After Salah​


Narrated in the works of Imām al-Nasā’ī رحمه الله:


As-Sunan al-Kubrā (Hadith 9928)
ʿAmal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah (Hadith 100)


The Prophet ﷺ said:


"من قرأ آية الكرسي في دبر كل صلاة مكتوبة لم يمنعه من دخول الجنة إلا أن يموت"


“Whoever recites Āyat al-Kursī after every obligatory prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death.”


✿ Authenticity of the Hadith​


The chain of narration (isnād) is ḥasan (sound).
✔ Imām Ibn Ḥibbān رحمه الله also authenticated this hadith.

✅ Conclusion:​


✔ The hadith is authentic and holds a great virtue:
Whoever consistently recites Āyat al-Kursī after every fard (obligatory) prayer, Paradise awaits him, with only death standing in the way.


📌 Therefore, this Sunnah practice should be regularly observed, as it holds an immense reward and a strong promise of salvation.
