A 17-Year-Old Girl Missed Her Obligatory Fasts – What Should She Do?

Question:

I am a 17-year-old girl, and my question is that I was unable to make up for the missed fasts in the first two years after fasting became obligatory upon me in Ramadan. What should I do now?

Answer:

You must hasten to make up for the missed fasts (Qada) as soon as possible, even if you do so on separate days. Additionally, you are also required to offer expiation (Kaffarah) by feeding one poor person for each missed fast.

This ruling applies because you have delayed making up the fasts for more than one year, and this is the opinion of the majority of scholars.
