5 Important Sunnahs of Salah and Purification Forgotten Today

Question
السُّنَنُ الْمَهْجُوْرَۃُ (Those Sunnahs which have been abandoned) — what are they? Kindly also provide their evidences.

Al-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu wa as-salāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh, ammā ba‘d!
Sunnah Mahjūrah — i.e., Sunnahs that have been abandoned — in reality, are many in number. However, since you have asked this question in a specific manner, it would require considerable time to comprehensively mention all of them in this way. Due to preoccupation, it is not possible to dedicate such time here. Therefore, only a few important Sunnahs Mahjūrah are briefly mentioned below:

➊ اَلْمَسْحُ عَلَی النَّعْلَیْنِ
(Wiping over the shoes)
- Mentioned in: Tirmidhī, Abū Dāwūd, Sharḥ Ma‘ānī al-Āthār
- Also: Mulḥaq al-Shaykh al-Albānī ḥafiẓahullāh ta‘ālā bi-ākhir Risālah al-Masḥ ‘ala al-Jawrabayn of al-Qāsimī raḥimahullāh ta‘ālā
➋ زِیَادَۃ ’’وَبَرَکَاتُہُ‘‘ فِیْ تَسْلِیْمِ الصَّلاَۃِ
(Adding “wa barakātuh” when concluding the prayer with salām)
- Evidence: Abū Dāwūd, Irwā’ al-Ghalīl
➌ جَعْلُ الْقَدَمِ الْیُسْرٰی بَیْنَ الْفَخِذِ وَالسَّاقِ فِی جُلُوْسِ الصَّلاَۃِ
(Placing the left foot between the thigh and shin while sitting in prayer)

➍ اَلصَّلاَۃُ حَالَ الْاِنْتِعَالِ

➎ اَلنَّہْیُ عَنِ الْاِنْتِعَالِ قَائِمًا
(Prohibition of putting on shoes while standing)
