I thought you were among the most understanding men in Madinah. Do the Jews and Christians not read the Torah and the Gospel, yet they do not act upon anything from them?”

📚 Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Tribulations, Hadith: 7086

Translation: Hudhayfah رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “A man may sleep, and the trust will be taken from his heart, leaving behind a trace like a faint mark. Then he sleeps again, and it will be completely removed, leaving behind a blister — like an ember rolling over your foot, which raises a blister but contains nothing inside. People will transact with one another, and hardly anyone will fulfill trusts. It will be said, ‘Among such-and-such tribe, there is an honest man.’ And a man will be praised: ‘How intelligent! How charming! How strong!’ while he will not have in his heart even a mustard seed of faith.”

Their covenants and trusts will be confused and lost; they will differ and be like this”—and he interlaced his fingers.

📚 Sunan Ibn Mājah, Hadith: 3981 — Ṣaḥīḥah: 1791

Translation: Ḥudhayfah ibn al-Yamān رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There will be tribulations, and at their gates will be callers to the Fire. If you must die while biting on the root of a tree, that is better for you than following one of them.”

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Kitāb al-ʿIlm, Hadith: 100

Translation: ʿAbdullah ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah does not take away knowledge by removing it from the people, but He takes away knowledge by the death of scholars. Until, when no scholars remain, people will take ignorant ones as leaders. They will be asked questions and will give fatāwā without knowledge. They will go astray and lead others astray.”

📜 Hadith 40

📚 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Kitāb al-Fitan, Hadith: 7373

Translation: Nawwās ibn Samʿān رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke one morning about the Dajjāl and said: “He will pass through the earth like wind-driven rain, calling people to believe in him. Those who respond will prosper materially—rain will fall, crops will grow, and livestock will return fat. Those who refuse will suffer drought and poverty. He will say to the earth: ‘Bring forth your treasures,’ and they will come forth like swarms of bees...”
