إِنَّ الْـحَمْدَ لِلَّهِ، نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللَّهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. أَمَّا بَعْدُ:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:208)
❀ Allah the Exalted said:
"O you who have believed, enter into Islām completely."
وَأَنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
(Al-Baqarah 2:195)
❀ And Allah the Exalted said:
"Spend in the way of Allah and do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good."
Arabic Text:
عن أبي هريرة قال: كان النبي ﷺ بارزًا يومًا للناس فأتاه جبريل فقال: ما الإيمان؟ قال: الإيمان أن تؤمن بالله وملائكته وكتبه ولقائه ورسله وتؤمن بالبعث... الحديث
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 50)
❀ Translation:
Narrated by Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ was sitting among the people when Gabriel came and asked:
➊ What is Īmān (faith)?
He ﷺ replied: “Faith is to believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, meeting with Him, His Messengers, and to believe in resurrection.”
➋ What is Islām?
He ﷺ said: “Islām is to worship Allah alone and not associate any partner with Him, to establish prayer, give the obligatory zakāh, and fast during Ramaḍān.”
➌ What is Iḥsān?
He ﷺ said: “It is to worship Allah as though you see Him. If you do not see Him, surely He sees you.”
➍ When is the Hour (Day of Judgment)?
He ﷺ replied: “The one being asked knows no more than the one asking. However, I will inform you of its signs: When the slave woman gives birth to her mistress, and when the barefooted, naked shepherds compete in constructing tall buildings...” Then he recited the verse:
﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ﴾ (Luqmān 31:34)
“This was Jibrīl; he came to teach you your religion.”
﴿وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:43)
❀ "Establish prayer, give zakāh, and bow with those who bow."
﴿كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ... لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:183)
❀ "Fasting has been prescribed upon you... so that you may attain taqwā."
﴿وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ...﴾
(Āl ʿImrān 3:97)
❀ "And pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to Allah by people who are able to undertake it."
Arabic Text:
بني الإسلام على خمس: على أن يعبد الله ويكفر بما دونه...
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 112)
❀ Translation:
Narrated by Ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Islām is built upon five [pillars]:
① Worshiping Allah and rejecting all besides Him,
② Establishing prayer,
③ Giving zakāh,
④ Performing Ḥajj,
⑤ Fasting in Ramaḍān.”
﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ...﴾
(Al-Aḥzāb 33:56)
❀ “Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe! Send blessings upon him and greetings of peace.”
Arabic Text:
قلنا يا رسول الله، كيف الصلاة عليكم أهل البيت؟...
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 3370)
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdur-Raḥmān bin Abī Laylā narrated: Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah said:
“Shall I not give you a gift I heard from the Prophet ﷺ?”
We asked: “Yes, please.”
He said: “We asked, O Messenger of Allah, how should we send ṣalāh upon you and your family?”
He ﷺ replied:
Say:
“اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ...*
O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibrāhīm and his family. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
And send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrāhīm and his family. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.”
﴿إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ﴾
(Fāṭir 35:28)
❀ “Only those among His servants who truly fear Allah are the knowledgeable.”
Arabic Text:
طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم
(Sunan Ibn Mājah Ḥadīth 224; graded ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī)
❀ Translation:
Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.”
﴿يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ...﴾
(Hūd 11:5)
❀ “He knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of what is within the breasts.”
Arabic Text:
إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم وأموالكم ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6543)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but He looks at your hearts and deeds.”
﴿فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ﴾
(Al-Ḥajj 22:30)
❀ “So avoid the filth of idols and avoid false speech.”
Arabic Text:
الإثم ما حاك في صدرك وكرهت أن يطلع عليه الناس
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6516)
❀ Translation:
Al-Nawwās bin Samʿān رضي الله عنه asked the Prophet ﷺ about righteousness and sin.
He ﷺ replied:
“Righteousness is good character, and sin is what causes unease in your heart and you dislike others discovering it.”
Arabic Text:
إياكم والظن... وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6536)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Beware of suspicion, for it is the most false of speech. Do not spy or pry. Do not envy, hate, or turn your backs on one another. Be, O servants of Allah, as brothers.”
﴿وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا...﴾
(Al-Ḥujurāt 49:12)
❀ “Do not backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it!”
Arabic Text:
رأيت قومًا لهم أظفار من نحاس...
(Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Ḥadīth 4878; Ṣaḥīḥah)
❀ Translation:
Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“During my ascension (Miʿrāj), I saw people with copper nails scratching their faces and chests. I asked: ‘Who are they?’ Jibrīl replied: ‘They are those who used to eat people’s flesh (i.e., backbite) and attack their honor.’”
﴿فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ... وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ﴾
(Muḥammad 47:22)
❀ “Then, would you perhaps, if you turn away, cause corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship?”
Arabic Text:
وعن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا تهجروا ولا تدابروا ولا تحسسوا ولا يبيع بعضكم على بيع بعض وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6537)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Do not abandon one another, do not turn your backs on each other, do not spy on one another, and none of you should sell over the sale of his brother. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers to one another.”
Arabic Text:
عن عقبة بن عامر قال: قلت: يا رسول الله ما النجاة؟ قال: أمسك عليك لسانك وليسعك بيتك وابك على خطيئتك
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī, Ḥadīth 2406; Ṣaḥīḥah: 888)
❀ Translation:
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir رضي الله عنه said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “What is salvation?”
He ﷺ replied:
“Control your tongue, let your home suffice you, and weep over your sins.”
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ﴾
(Āl ʿImrān 3:102)
❀ “O you who have believed! Fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims.”
Arabic Text:
عن أبي ذر قال: قال لي رسول الله ﷺ: اتق الله حيثما كنت، وأتبع السيئة الحسنة تمحها، وخالق الناس بخلق حسن
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī, Ḥadīth 1987 — Graded ḥasan by al-Albānī)
❀ Translation:
Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Fear Allah wherever you are, follow a bad deed with a good one—it will erase it—and treat people with good character.”
﴿وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ... قَالُوا سَلَامًا﴾
(Al-Furqān 25:63)
❀ “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say: Peace.”
Arabic Text:
إن أحدكم ليتكلم بالكلمة من رضوان الله...
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī, Ḥadīth 2319; Ibn Mājah 3969 — Graded ṣaḥīḥ)
❀ Translation:
Bilāl ibn al-Ḥārith al-Muzanī رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“A man speaks a word pleasing to Allah without thinking it would reach where it does, and for it, Allah records for him His pleasure until the Day he meets Him.
And a man speaks a word displeasing to Allah without realizing its gravity, and for it, Allah records His wrath upon him until the Day he meets Him.”
﴿وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا﴾
(Al-ʿAnkabūt 29:8)
❀ “And We have enjoined upon man to be good to his parents.”
Arabic Text:
رضا الرب في رضا الوالد وسخط الرب في سخط الوالد
(Sunan al-Tirmidhī, Ḥadīth 1899; Ṣaḥīḥah: 516)
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the anger of the Lord lies in the anger of the father.”
﴿إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ...﴾
(Al-Ḥujurāt 49:10)
❀ “The believers are but brothers, so reconcile between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.”
Arabic Text:
المؤمن مرآة المؤمن...
(Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Ḥadīth 4918; Ṣaḥīḥah: 926)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“A believer is the mirror of another believer, and the believer is the brother of his fellow believer; he safeguards him from loss and protects his honor behind his back.”
﴿يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ...﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:185)
❀ “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.”
Arabic Text:
يسروا ولا تعسروا وبشروا ولا تنفروا
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 69)
❀ Translation:
Anas ibn Mālik رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Make things easy, and do not make them difficult. Give glad tidings, and do not drive people away.”
﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ...﴾
(Al-Nisāʾ 4:48)
❀ “Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. Whoever associates with Allah has certainly fabricated a grave sin.”
Arabic Text:
أتاني جبريل فبشرني...
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 7487)
❀ Translation:
Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Jibrīl came to me and gave me glad tidings: ‘Whoever dies without associating anything with Allah shall enter Paradise.’
I asked: ‘Even if he stole or committed adultery?’
He ﷺ replied: ‘Even if he stole or committed adultery.’”
﴿وَقُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:83)
❀ “And speak to people kindly.”
Arabic Text:
فليقل خيرًا أو ليصمت
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 6138)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should maintain ties of kinship; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.”
﴿فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ...﴾
(Al-Tawbah 9:122)
❀ “Let there arise from every group a party who may gain understanding in religion and warn their people when they return to them that they may beware.”
Arabic Text:
من يرد الله به خيرًا يفقهه في الدين
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 71)
❀ Translation:
Muʿāwiyah رضي الله عنه delivered a sermon and said:
“I heard the Prophet ﷺ say:
‘If Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion.
I (the Prophet) am merely a distributor; the One Who gives is Allah.
This Ummah will remain steadfast upon the command of Allah; those who oppose them will not harm them until the command of Allah (i.e., the Hour) comes.’”
﴿قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم...﴾
(Al-Kahf 18:103–104)
❀ “Say: Shall We tell you who will lose the most in respect of their deeds?
Those whose effort went astray in the life of this world, while they thought that they were doing good deeds.”
Arabic Text:
عن عائشة قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 2697)
❀ Translation:
ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever introduces something into this religion of ours that is not from it—it will be rejected.”
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا﴾
(Al-Aḥzāb 33:41)
❀ “O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.”
Arabic Text:
كلمتان حبيبتان إلى الرحمن خفيفتان على اللسان ثقيلتان في الميزان: سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 7563)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are two phrases that are dear to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, but heavy on the scale:
Subḥān Allāhi wa bi ḥamdih, Subḥān Allāhil-ʿAẓīm
(Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him; Glory be to Allah the Almighty).”
Arabic Text:
لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 13)
❀ Translation:
Anas رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
Arabic Text:
سباب المسلم فسوق وقتاله كفر
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 48)
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Insulting a Muslim is wickedness, and fighting him is disbelief.”
﴿وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ...﴾
(Al-Ḥujurāt 49:9)
❀ “If two groups of believers fight, make reconciliation between them... And if one transgresses, then fight against the one who transgresses until it returns to Allah's command.”
Arabic Text:
من نفس عن مؤمن كربة... ومن سلك طريقا يلتمس فيه علما...
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6853)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves a believer from a worldly difficulty, Allah will relieve him from a difficulty on the Day of Resurrection.
Whoever makes things easy for someone in hardship, Allah will make things easy for him in this life and the next.
Whoever conceals a Muslim’s faults, Allah will conceal his faults in this life and the next.
Allah helps His servant as long as the servant helps his brother.
Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make his path to Paradise easy.
No people gather in a house of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those near Him.
And whoever is slowed by his deeds will not be hastened forward by his lineage.”
Arabic Text:
من حمل علينا السلاح فليس منا
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 7070)
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever raises weapons against us is not from among us.”
﴿فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا...﴾
(Al-Isrāʾ 17:23)
❀ “Do not say to your parents ‘Uff!’ nor scold them; rather speak to them with respectful speech.”
Arabic Text:
إن الله حرم عليكم عقوق الأمهات...
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 5975)
❀ Translation:
Al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah has forbidden for you: disobedience to mothers, withholding and demanding unjustly, and the burial of daughters alive. He dislikes for you idle gossip, excessive questioning, and wasting wealth.”
﴿الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُم...﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:274)
❀ “Those who spend their wealth by night and day, in secret and in public—they will have their reward with their Lord, and they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.”
Arabic Text:
ما نقصت صدقة من مال...
(Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Ḥadīth 2140; al-Mustadrak; Irwāʾ 1698)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Charity does not decrease wealth.
Allah only increases the honor of a person who forgives others.
And whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allah, Allah will raise him in status.”
﴿لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ...﴾
(Fussilat 41:37)
❀ “Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon, but prostrate to Allah who created them, if it is Him you worship.”
Arabic Text:
لو كنت آمرًا أحدًا أن يسجد لأحد لأمرت النساء أن يسجدن لأزواجهن...
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6592)
❀ Translation:
Qays ibn Saʿd رضي الله عنه said:
“I visited Ḥīrah and saw its people prostrating to their leader. I said, ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is more deserving of prostration.’
So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said this to him.
He ﷺ asked: ‘If you passed by my grave, would you prostrate to it?’
I said, ‘No.’
He ﷺ said: ‘Then do not do it. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded wives to prostrate to their husbands due to the rights Allah has given them.’”
Arabic Text:
من لا يرحم الناس لا يرحمه الله
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6030)
❀ Translation:
Jarīr ibn ʿAbdullāh رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever does not show mercy to people, Allah will not show mercy to him.”
Arabic Text:
لا تحاسدوا ولا تناجشوا ولا تباغضوا ولا تدابروا ولا يبع بعضكم على بيع بعض وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا...
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6541)
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Do not envy one another, do not artificially inflate prices, do not hate one another, do not turn away from one another, and do not undercut one another in trade.
Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers.
A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he does not oppress him, does not abandon him, and does not belittle him.
Piety is here” — and he pointed to his chest three times.
“It is enough evil for a man to belittle his Muslim brother.
Every Muslim’s blood, wealth, and honor is sacred to another Muslim.”
﴿وَأَنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ... وَأَحْسِنُوا﴾
(Al-Baqarah 2:195)

Arabic Text:
من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 4899)
❀ Translation:
Abu Masʿūd al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه narrated that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said:
“My riding animal is lost, give me one.” The Prophet ﷺ replied: “I have none.”
Another man said: “O Messenger of Allah, I will guide him to someone who can help.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever directs someone to good, he will have a reward equal to the one who does it.”
Arabic Text:
من لم يرحم صغيرنا ويعرف حق كبيرنا فليس منا
(Sunan Abī Dāwūd, Ḥadīth 4943 — Ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī)
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young and does not recognize the rights of our elders.”
Arabic Text:
كل معروف صدقة
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 6021)
❀ Translation:
Jābir ibn ʿAbdullāh رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Every good deed is charity.”
﴿وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ﴾
(Al-Bayyinah 98:5)
❀ “They were commanded only to worship Allah, making the religion sincerely for Him.”

إنما الأعمال بالنيات...
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 1)
❀ Translation:
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Actions are based on intentions, and every person will have only what he intended.
Whoever migrates for worldly gain or a woman to marry, his migration is for what he migrated for.”
Arabic Text:
لا تغضب
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 6116)
❀ Translation:
A man asked the Prophet ﷺ: “Give me advice.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Do not become angry.”
He repeated his request several times, and the Prophet ﷺ kept replying:
“Do not become angry.”
﴿وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ﴾
(Al-Qamar 54:17)
❀ “Indeed, We have made the Qur’an easy for remembrance—so is there anyone who will remember?”
Arabic Text:
خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 5027)
❀ Translation:
ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
Arabic Text:
لا تحقرن من المعروف شيئًا ولو أن تلقى أخاك بوجه طلق
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6690)
❀ Translation:
Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Do not belittle any good deed, even if it is meeting your brother with a cheerful face.”
Arabic Text:
إن الله رفيق يحب الرفق...
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth 6601)
❀ Translation:
ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“O ʿĀ’ishah! Indeed, Allah is gentle and loves gentleness. He gives through gentleness what He does not give through harshness or anything else.”
﴿لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ﴾
(Al-Ṣaff 61:2–3)
❀ “Why do you say what you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allah that you say what you do not do.”
Arabic Text:
ياتون يوم القيامة بحسنات... يجعلها الله هباءً منثورًا
(Sunan Ibn Mājah, Ḥadīth 4245; Ṣaḥīḥah 505)
❀ Translation:
Thawbān رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“I know people from my Ummah who will come on the Day of Judgment with good deeds like the mountains of Tihāmah, but Allah will turn them into scattered dust.”
Thawbān said: “O Messenger of Allah! Describe them to us so we may not be among them unknowingly.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“They are your brothers, from your people. They pray at night as you do. But they are people who, when alone, violate Allah’s prohibitions.”
Arabic Text:
لم يكن النبي ﷺ فاحشًا ولا متفحشًا...
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 3559)
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما said:
The Prophet ﷺ was neither indecent nor vulgar.
He ﷺ used to say:
“The best among you are those with the best character.”
﴿أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ...﴾
(Muḥammad 47:33)
❀ “O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and do not invalidate your deeds.”
Arabic Text:
أما والله إني لأخشاكم لله وأتقاكم له... فمن رغب عن سنتي فليس مني
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ḥadīth 5063)
❀ Translation:
Anas ibn Mālik رضي الله عنه reported:
Three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ asking about his worship.
When they were informed, they considered it little and said:
“Where are we compared to the Prophet ﷺ? His past and future sins are forgiven.”
One said: “I will pray all night.”
Another said: “I will fast every day without breaking it.”
Another said: “I will not marry women.”
The Prophet ﷺ came to them and said:
“Are you the ones who said such and such? By Allah! I am the most fearing and pious among you, yet I fast and break my fast, pray and sleep, and marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me.”
Opening Khutbah
إِنَّ الْـحَمْدَ لِلَّهِ، نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللَّهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. أَمَّا بَعْدُ:
Safeguard Your Īmān (Faith), Islām (Submission), and Iḥsān (Excellence)

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً﴾

"O you who have believed, enter into Islām completely."
وَأَنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
❀ And Allah the Exalted said:
"Spend in the way of Allah and do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good."
◈ Hadith ① — Explanation of Īmān, Islām, and Iḥsān

عن أبي هريرة قال: كان النبي ﷺ بارزًا يومًا للناس فأتاه جبريل فقال: ما الإيمان؟ قال: الإيمان أن تؤمن بالله وملائكته وكتبه ولقائه ورسله وتؤمن بالبعث... الحديث
❀ Translation:
Narrated by Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ was sitting among the people when Gabriel came and asked:
➊ What is Īmān (faith)?
He ﷺ replied: “Faith is to believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, meeting with Him, His Messengers, and to believe in resurrection.”
➋ What is Islām?
He ﷺ said: “Islām is to worship Allah alone and not associate any partner with Him, to establish prayer, give the obligatory zakāh, and fast during Ramaḍān.”
➌ What is Iḥsān?
He ﷺ said: “It is to worship Allah as though you see Him. If you do not see Him, surely He sees you.”
➍ When is the Hour (Day of Judgment)?
He ﷺ replied: “The one being asked knows no more than the one asking. However, I will inform you of its signs: When the slave woman gives birth to her mistress, and when the barefooted, naked shepherds compete in constructing tall buildings...” Then he recited the verse:
﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ﴾ (Luqmān 31:34)
“This was Jibrīl; he came to teach you your religion.”
Recognition of the Pillars of Islam

﴿وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ﴾
❀ "Establish prayer, give zakāh, and bow with those who bow."
﴿كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ... لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ﴾
❀ "Fasting has been prescribed upon you... so that you may attain taqwā."
﴿وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ...﴾
❀ "And pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to Allah by people who are able to undertake it."
◈ Hadith ② — The Five Pillars of Islam
Arabic Text:
بني الإسلام على خمس: على أن يعبد الله ويكفر بما دونه...
❀ Translation:
Narrated by Ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Islām is built upon five [pillars]:
① Worshiping Allah and rejecting all besides Him,
② Establishing prayer,
③ Giving zakāh,
④ Performing Ḥajj,
⑤ Fasting in Ramaḍān.”

قلنا يا رسول الله، كيف الصلاة عليكم أهل البيت؟...
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdur-Raḥmān bin Abī Laylā narrated: Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah said:
“Shall I not give you a gift I heard from the Prophet ﷺ?”
We asked: “Yes, please.”
He said: “We asked, O Messenger of Allah, how should we send ṣalāh upon you and your family?”
He ﷺ replied:
Say:
“اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ...*
O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibrāhīm and his family. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
And send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrāhīm and his family. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.”
Seek Knowledge

﴿إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ﴾

Al-Nawwās bin Samʿān رضي الله عنه asked the Prophet ﷺ about righteousness and sin.
He ﷺ replied:
“Righteousness is good character, and sin is what causes unease in your heart and you dislike others discovering it.”
Do Not Search for Others’ Faults
◈ Hadith ⑦ — Avoid Suspicion and Spying

إياكم والظن... وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Beware of suspicion, for it is the most false of speech. Do not spy or pry. Do not envy, hate, or turn your backs on one another. Be, O servants of Allah, as brothers.”

﴿وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا...﴾
❀ “Do not backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it!”

رأيت قومًا لهم أظفار من نحاس...
❀ Translation:
Anas bin Mālik رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“During my ascension (Miʿrāj), I saw people with copper nails scratching their faces and chests. I asked: ‘Who are they?’ Jibrīl replied: ‘They are those who used to eat people’s flesh (i.e., backbite) and attack their honor.’”
Do Not Sever Family Ties

﴿فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ... وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ﴾
❀ “Then, would you perhaps, if you turn away, cause corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship?”

وعن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا تهجروا ولا تدابروا ولا تحسسوا ولا يبيع بعضكم على بيع بعض وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا

“Do not abandon one another, do not turn your backs on each other, do not spy on one another, and none of you should sell over the sale of his brother. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers to one another.”
Guard Your Tongue

Arabic Text:
عن عقبة بن عامر قال: قلت: يا رسول الله ما النجاة؟ قال: أمسك عليك لسانك وليسعك بيتك وابك على خطيئتك
❀ Translation:
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir رضي الله عنه said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “What is salvation?”
He ﷺ replied:
“Control your tongue, let your home suffice you, and weep over your sins.”
Fear Allah

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ﴾
❀ “O you who have believed! Fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims.”

عن أبي ذر قال: قال لي رسول الله ﷺ: اتق الله حيثما كنت، وأتبع السيئة الحسنة تمحها، وخالق الناس بخلق حسن
❀ Translation:
Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Fear Allah wherever you are, follow a bad deed with a good one—it will erase it—and treat people with good character.”
Avoid Useless Arguments
◈ Qur’anic Guidance
﴿وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ... قَالُوا سَلَامًا﴾
❀ “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say: Peace.”
◈ Hadith ⑫ — The Danger of a Single Word

إن أحدكم ليتكلم بالكلمة من رضوان الله...
❀ Translation:
Bilāl ibn al-Ḥārith al-Muzanī رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“A man speaks a word pleasing to Allah without thinking it would reach where it does, and for it, Allah records for him His pleasure until the Day he meets Him.
And a man speaks a word displeasing to Allah without realizing its gravity, and for it, Allah records His wrath upon him until the Day he meets Him.”
Allah’s Pleasure Lies in Parents’ Pleasure

﴿وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا﴾
❀ “And We have enjoined upon man to be good to his parents.”
◈ Hadith ⑬
Arabic Text:
رضا الرب في رضا الوالد وسخط الرب في سخط الوالد
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the anger of the Lord lies in the anger of the father.”
Protect the Honour of Muslims

﴿إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ...﴾
❀ “The believers are but brothers, so reconcile between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.”
◈ Hadith ⑭

المؤمن مرآة المؤمن...
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“A believer is the mirror of another believer, and the believer is the brother of his fellow believer; he safeguards him from loss and protects his honor behind his back.”
Facilitate Ease for Others
◈ Qur’anic Mercy
﴿يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ...﴾
❀ “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.”

Arabic Text:
يسروا ولا تعسروا وبشروا ولا تنفروا
❀ Translation:
Anas ibn Mālik رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Make things easy, and do not make them difficult. Give glad tidings, and do not drive people away.”
Avoid Shirk at All Costs

﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ...﴾
❀ “Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. Whoever associates with Allah has certainly fabricated a grave sin.”
◈ Hadith ⑯ — Hope Even for Sinners Without Shirk
Arabic Text:
أتاني جبريل فبشرني...
❀ Translation:
Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Jibrīl came to me and gave me glad tidings: ‘Whoever dies without associating anything with Allah shall enter Paradise.’
I asked: ‘Even if he stole or committed adultery?’
He ﷺ replied: ‘Even if he stole or committed adultery.’”
🗣 Speak What is Good
◈ Qur’anic Instruction
﴿وَقُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا﴾
❀ “And speak to people kindly.”
◈ Hadith ⑰ — Speak Good or Remain Silent
Arabic Text:
فليقل خيرًا أو ليصمت
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should maintain ties of kinship; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.”
Gain Understanding of Islam
◈ Qur’anic Guidance
﴿فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ...﴾
❀ “Let there arise from every group a party who may gain understanding in religion and warn their people when they return to them that they may beware.”
◈ Hadith ⑱ — Fiqh is a Sign of Goodness
Arabic Text:
من يرد الله به خيرًا يفقهه في الدين
❀ Translation:
Muʿāwiyah رضي الله عنه delivered a sermon and said:
“I heard the Prophet ﷺ say:
‘If Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion.
I (the Prophet) am merely a distributor; the One Who gives is Allah.
This Ummah will remain steadfast upon the command of Allah; those who oppose them will not harm them until the command of Allah (i.e., the Hour) comes.’”
Avoid Innovations (Bidʿah)
◈ Qur’anic Warning
﴿قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم...﴾
❀ “Say: Shall We tell you who will lose the most in respect of their deeds?
Those whose effort went astray in the life of this world, while they thought that they were doing good deeds.”
Hadith ⑲ — Innovation in Religion is Rejected
Arabic Text:
عن عائشة قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
❀ Translation:
ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever introduces something into this religion of ours that is not from it—it will be rejected.”
Remembrance of Allah (Dhikr)

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا﴾
❀ “O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.”

كلمتان حبيبتان إلى الرحمن خفيفتان على اللسان ثقيلتان في الميزان: سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are two phrases that are dear to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, but heavy on the scale:
Subḥān Allāhi wa bi ḥamdih, Subḥān Allāhil-ʿAẓīm
(Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him; Glory be to Allah the Almighty).”
Love for Others What You Love for Yourself

Arabic Text:
لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه
❀ Translation:
Anas رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
Insulting a Muslim is Fisq, Fighting is Kufr
◈ Hadith ㉒
Arabic Text:
سباب المسلم فسوق وقتاله كفر
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Insulting a Muslim is wickedness, and fighting him is disbelief.”
Resolve the Problems of Others
◈ Qur’anic Instruction
﴿وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ...﴾
❀ “If two groups of believers fight, make reconciliation between them... And if one transgresses, then fight against the one who transgresses until it returns to Allah's command.”
◈ Hadith ㉓ — Helping Others & Seeking Knowledge
Arabic Text:
من نفس عن مؤمن كربة... ومن سلك طريقا يلتمس فيه علما...
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves a believer from a worldly difficulty, Allah will relieve him from a difficulty on the Day of Resurrection.
Whoever makes things easy for someone in hardship, Allah will make things easy for him in this life and the next.
Whoever conceals a Muslim’s faults, Allah will conceal his faults in this life and the next.
Allah helps His servant as long as the servant helps his brother.
Whoever follows a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make his path to Paradise easy.
No people gather in a house of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those near Him.
And whoever is slowed by his deeds will not be hastened forward by his lineage.”
Do Not Raise Arms Against Muslims
◈ Hadith ㉔
Arabic Text:
من حمل علينا السلاح فليس منا
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever raises weapons against us is not from among us.”
Do Not Disobey Your Parents
◈ Qur’anic Warning
﴿فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا...﴾
❀ “Do not say to your parents ‘Uff!’ nor scold them; rather speak to them with respectful speech.”
◈ Hadith ㉕ — Disobedience to Mothers
Arabic Text:
إن الله حرم عليكم عقوق الأمهات...
❀ Translation:
Al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah has forbidden for you: disobedience to mothers, withholding and demanding unjustly, and the burial of daughters alive. He dislikes for you idle gossip, excessive questioning, and wasting wealth.”
Give in Charity
◈ Qur’anic Praise
﴿الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُم...﴾
❀ “Those who spend their wealth by night and day, in secret and in public—they will have their reward with their Lord, and they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.”
◈ Hadith ㉖ — Charity Does Not Decrease Wealth
Arabic Text:
ما نقصت صدقة من مال...
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Charity does not decrease wealth.
Allah only increases the honor of a person who forgives others.
And whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allah, Allah will raise him in status.”
Do Not Prostrate to Anyone Except Allah
◈ Qur’anic Command
﴿لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ...﴾
❀ “Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon, but prostrate to Allah who created them, if it is Him you worship.”
◈ Hadith ㉗ — No One Deserves Sajdah but Allah
Arabic Text:
لو كنت آمرًا أحدًا أن يسجد لأحد لأمرت النساء أن يسجدن لأزواجهن...
❀ Translation:
Qays ibn Saʿd رضي الله عنه said:
“I visited Ḥīrah and saw its people prostrating to their leader. I said, ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is more deserving of prostration.’
So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said this to him.
He ﷺ asked: ‘If you passed by my grave, would you prostrate to it?’
I said, ‘No.’
He ﷺ said: ‘Then do not do it. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded wives to prostrate to their husbands due to the rights Allah has given them.’”
Show Mercy to Others

Arabic Text:
من لا يرحم الناس لا يرحمه الله
❀ Translation:
Jarīr ibn ʿAbdullāh رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever does not show mercy to people, Allah will not show mercy to him.”
Avoid Envy and Hatred
◈ Hadith ㉙
Arabic Text:
لا تحاسدوا ولا تناجشوا ولا تباغضوا ولا تدابروا ولا يبع بعضكم على بيع بعض وكونوا عباد الله إخوانا...
❀ Translation:
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Do not envy one another, do not artificially inflate prices, do not hate one another, do not turn away from one another, and do not undercut one another in trade.
Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers.
A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he does not oppress him, does not abandon him, and does not belittle him.
Piety is here” — and he pointed to his chest three times.
“It is enough evil for a man to belittle his Muslim brother.
Every Muslim’s blood, wealth, and honor is sacred to another Muslim.”
Virtue of Encouraging Good

﴿وَأَنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ... وَأَحْسِنُوا﴾
❀ “Spend in the way of Allah and do not throw yourselves into destruction with your own hands. And do good—indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.”

Arabic Text:
من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله
❀ Translation:
Abu Masʿūd al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه narrated that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said:
“My riding animal is lost, give me one.” The Prophet ﷺ replied: “I have none.”
Another man said: “O Messenger of Allah, I will guide him to someone who can help.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever directs someone to good, he will have a reward equal to the one who does it.”
Be Merciful to the Young

Arabic Text:
من لم يرحم صغيرنا ويعرف حق كبيرنا فليس منا
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young and does not recognize the rights of our elders.”
Every Good Deed is Charity

كل معروف صدقة
❀ Translation:
Jābir ibn ʿAbdullāh رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Every good deed is charity.”
Sincerity in Intention
◈ Qur’anic Command
﴿وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ﴾
❀ “They were commanded only to worship Allah, making the religion sincerely for Him.”
◈ Hadith ㉝ — Actions are Based on Intentions

إنما الأعمال بالنيات...
❀ Translation:
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Actions are based on intentions, and every person will have only what he intended.
Whoever migrates for worldly gain or a woman to marry, his migration is for what he migrated for.”
Do Not Become Angry

لا تغضب
❀ Translation:
A man asked the Prophet ﷺ: “Give me advice.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Do not become angry.”
He repeated his request several times, and the Prophet ﷺ kept replying:
“Do not become angry.”

خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه

ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
Do Not Undervalue Any Good

لا تحقرن من المعروف شيئًا ولو أن تلقى أخاك بوجه طلق
❀ Translation:
Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Do not belittle any good deed, even if it is meeting your brother with a cheerful face.”
Be Gentle and Kind

Arabic Text:
إن الله رفيق يحب الرفق...
❀ Translation:
ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“O ʿĀ’ishah! Indeed, Allah is gentle and loves gentleness. He gives through gentleness what He does not give through harshness or anything else.”
Avoid Sins in Secret
◈ Qur’anic Condemnation
﴿لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ﴾
❀ “Why do you say what you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allah that you say what you do not do.”
◈ Hadith ㊳ — Public Good, Secret Sin
Arabic Text:
ياتون يوم القيامة بحسنات... يجعلها الله هباءً منثورًا
❀ Translation:
Thawbān رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“I know people from my Ummah who will come on the Day of Judgment with good deeds like the mountains of Tihāmah, but Allah will turn them into scattered dust.”
Thawbān said: “O Messenger of Allah! Describe them to us so we may not be among them unknowingly.”
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“They are your brothers, from your people. They pray at night as you do. But they are people who, when alone, violate Allah’s prohibitions.”
🗣 Avoid Foul Speech
◈ Hadith ㊴
Arabic Text:
لم يكن النبي ﷺ فاحشًا ولا متفحشًا...
❀ Translation:
ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr رضي الله عنهما said:
The Prophet ﷺ was neither indecent nor vulgar.
He ﷺ used to say:
“The best among you are those with the best character.”
Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ

﴿أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ...﴾
❀ “O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and do not invalidate your deeds.”
◈ Hadith ㊵ — True Sunnah is Balance
Arabic Text:
أما والله إني لأخشاكم لله وأتقاكم له... فمن رغب عن سنتي فليس مني
❀ Translation:
Anas ibn Mālik رضي الله عنه reported:
Three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ asking about his worship.
When they were informed, they considered it little and said:
“Where are we compared to the Prophet ﷺ? His past and future sins are forgiven.”
One said: “I will pray all night.”
Another said: “I will fast every day without breaking it.”
Another said: “I will not marry women.”
The Prophet ﷺ came to them and said:
“Are you the ones who said such and such? By Allah! I am the most fearing and pious among you, yet I fast and break my fast, pray and sleep, and marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me.”
