① Uttering the Shahādah (Testimony of Faith) at the Time of Death
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Whoever's last words are Lā ilāha illa Allāh will enter Paradise."

② Presence of Sweat on the Forehead at the Time of Death
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"The death of a believer is with sweat on the forehead."

③ Dying on a Friday (Day or Night)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"No Muslim dies on the day of Jumu‘ah or its night except that Allah protects him from the trial of the grave."

④ Martyrdom in the Battlefield
Martyrs are granted six distinct honors not given to others.

Allah says:
"Do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision."

⑤ Dying Naturally While Departing for a Battle in Allah’s Cause
Allah says:
"And whoever leaves his home migrating to Allah and His Messenger, and then death overtakes him—his reward has already been established with Allah."

⑥ Death Due to Plague (Ṭāʿūn)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"The plague is martyrdom for every Muslim."

⑦ Death from Abdominal Disease, Drowning, Being Crushed, Burning, During Postnatal Bleeding, or Due to Paralysis
All of these are considered types of martyrdom as stated in Hadith.

⑧ Death from Tuberculosis (Sil)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Death due to tuberculosis is martyrdom."

⑨ Being Killed While Defending One’s Life, Wealth, Family, Religion, or Honor
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever is killed while defending his wealth is a martyr; whoever is killed defending his family is a martyr; whoever is killed defending his religion is a martyr; and whoever is killed defending himself is a martyr."

⑩ Dying While Guarding the Muslim Frontier (Ribāṭ)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"A day and night spent in ribāṭ is better than a month of fasting and prayer. If he dies in that state, his deeds continue to be recorded, his provision continues to be provided, and he is protected from the trial of the grave."

⑪ Dying While Engaged in a Righteous Act
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever utters Lā ilāha illa Allāh seeking the pleasure of Allah and dies upon it, will enter Paradise. Whoever fasts one day for the pleasure of Allah and dies upon it, will enter Paradise. Whoever gives something in charity seeking Allah's pleasure and dies upon it, will enter Paradise."

⑫ People Praising the Deceased After Death
When a funeral passed by and people praised the deceased, the Prophet ﷺ said three times:
"It has become obligatory."
When another funeral passed and people criticized it, he again said three times:
"It has become obligatory."
Upon being asked, the Prophet ﷺ explained:
"Whomever you praised, Paradise has become obligatory for him. And whomever you criticized, the Fire has become obligatory for him."
