10 Best Duas for the Funeral of a Young Child

① Dua for Forgiveness and Mercy​

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهَا وَارْحَمْهَا، وَعَافِهَا وَاعْفُ عَنْهَا، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهَا، وَوَسِّعْ مَدْخَلَهَا، وَاغْسِلْهَا بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّهَا مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَالْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ
Translation:
“O Allah! Forgive her, have mercy on her, grant her well-being, pardon her, honour her place of rest, make her entry spacious, wash her with water, snow, and ice, and purify her from sins and mistakes as a white garment is cleansed from dirt.”

② Dua for a High Place in Paradise​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا فِي جَنَّةِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ، وَاجْمَعْهَا مَعَ الأَبْرَارِ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ، وَحَسُنَ أُوْلَئِكَ رَفِيقًا
Translation:
“O Allah! Grant her a place in Jannat al-Firdaws and unite her with the righteous, the truthful, the martyrs, and the pious—what excellent companions they are.”

③ Dua to Include Her Among the Birds of Paradise​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا فَرَطًا وَذُخْرًا لِوَالِدَيْهَا، وَشَفِيعَةً مُجَابَةً، وَاجْعَلْهَا مِنْ طُيُورِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَأَلْحِقْهَا بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Make her a forerunner and treasure for her parents, an accepted intercessor, include her among the birds of Paradise, and unite her with the righteous.”

④ Dua for the Parents’ Patience and Reward​

اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْ وَالِدَيْهَا فِي مُصِيبَتِهِمَا، وَاخْلُفْهُمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، وَارْزُقْهُمَا الرِّضَا وَالصَّبْرَ، وَاجْمَعْهُمَا بِهَا فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
Translation:
“O Allah! Reward her parents for their loss, grant them better in return, bless them with patience and contentment, and reunite them with her in the gardens of bliss.”

⑤ Dua for Drinking from the Hawd al-Kawthar​

اللَّهُمَّ أَسْقِهَا مِنْ حَوْضِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ شَرْبَةً هَنِيئَةً لَا يَظْمَأُ بَعْدَهَا أَبَدًا، وَاجْعَلْهَا فِي ذِمَّتِكَ وَأَمَانِكَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Translation:
“O Allah! Give her to drink from the Hawd of Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, a satisfying drink after which she will never be thirsty again, and keep her in Your protection and safety until the Day of Judgement.”

⑥ Dua for Light in the Grave and the Fragrance of Paradise​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ قَبْرَهَا رَوْضَةً مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَامْلَأْهُ نُورًا وَسُرُورًا، وَاجْعَلْهَا فِي ظِلِّ رَحْمَتِكَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Make her grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, fill it with light and joy, and keep her under the shade of Your mercy.”

⑦ Dua for Comfort in the Parents’ Hearts​

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْزِلْ عَلَى قُلُوبِ وَالِدَيْهَا السَّكِينَةَ وَالصَّبْرَ، وَاجْعَلْ هَذِهِ الْمُصِيبَةَ سَبَبًا لِلْمَغْفِرَةِ وَالْقُرْبِ مِنْكَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Send tranquillity and patience upon the hearts of her parents, and make this trial a cause for forgiveness and nearness to You.”

⑧ Dua for Playing in Paradise and the Company of the Prophet ﷺ​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا تَلْعَبُ فِي جَنَّاتِكَ تَحْتَ ظِلِّ عَرْشِكَ، وَاجْمَعْهَا مَعَ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي أَعْلَى عِلِّيِّينَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Let her play in Your gardens beneath the shade of Your Throne, and unite her with Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the highest levels of Paradise.”

⑨ Dua for Forgiveness and Ease in the Hereafter​

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهَا، وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءَنَا، وَيَسِّرْ لَهَا حِسَابَهَا، وَأَدْخِلْهَا جَنَّتَكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
Translation:
“O Allah! Forgive us and her, accept our supplications, make her reckoning easy, and admit her into Your Paradise by Your mercy.”

⑩ Concluding Dua for Acceptance​

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ، وَاجْعَلْ خَاتِمَتَنَا بِخَيْرٍ، وَاجْمَعْنَا فِي جَنَّاتِكَ فِي سُرُورٍ وَرِضْوَانٍ
Translation:
“O Allah! Make her among those upon whom there is no fear nor shall they grieve, grant us a good end, and gather us in Your Paradise in joy and with Your pleasure.”
