❖ Question:​


There is a narration attributed to Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) which says:


“The Imam has two pauses. In both of them, recite Sūrah al-Fātiḥah.”
What is the status of this narration’s chain of transmission?

❖ Answer:​


All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:


❖ The Ruling on the Chain (Isnād):​


✔ This narration has been classified as ḥasan (sound).
✔ This evaluation has been clarified in the verification of ḥadīth number 274 in Juzʾ al-Qirāʾah by Imām al-Bukhārī.


📌 This conclusion is documented in the March 2000 testimony accompanying the scholarly assessment.


❖ Conclusion:​


✅ The narration of Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) regarding the two pauses of the Imam, and the instruction to recite Sūrah al-Fātiḥah during them, is based on a ḥasan chain and may be relied upon for practice.
