Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

1. When the earth is shaken with its utmost shaking [1],

[1] That is, there will be continuous earthquakes on the earth, and these will not be of a regional nature, but will encompass the entire earth. Due to these continuous and successive earthquakes, there will remain no unevenness or elevation on the earth. Such earthquakes will occur at the time of the second blowing of the Trumpet (Sur). At the first blowing of the Trumpet, the earthquake that will occur will bring about the Resurrection and all living creatures will die. At the time of the second blowing of the Trumpet, the severe earthquakes will eliminate all unevenness and elevations from the earth, making it a level and flat plain. Rivers, mountains, seas—everything will be eliminated, changing the very form of this earth. Then, on it, the Plain of Gathering (Mahshar) will be established.
