سُوْرَةُ الشَّمْسِ
Surah Ash-Shams (91) — Ayah 13
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَـٰهَا ﴿13﴾

But the Messenger of Allâh [Sâlih عليه السلام] said to them: "Be cautious! (Fear the evil end). That is the she-camel of Allâh! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!"

13. Then the Messenger of Allah said to them: Beware of Allah’s she-camel [12] and her turn to drink.

Mention of the People of Thamud:
The Messenger of Allah to them, that is, Salih ؑ, had already emphatically warned them not to harm Allah’s she-camel in any way. It was called Allah’s she-camel because it was a miracle granted at their request—a tall and huge she-camel that emerged from a mountain. Since this she-camel alone would drink as much water as their livestock, and there was already a shortage of water, Salih ؑ had set a schedule for turns. He also strictly warned them not to cause any disturbance regarding her drinking or the schedule, otherwise Allah’s punishment would descend upon them. This story has already been mentioned in detail at several places before.
