Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

9. And a tongue and two lips [7]?

[7] In most places in the Quran, to warn mankind, mention is made of his eyes and ears, or of sight and hearing. However, here, instead of ears, the organs of speech are mentioned along with the eyes, through which a person expresses what is in his heart. The meaning is that the eyes, ears, or tongue given to man are not like those of cows or buffaloes, for him to use them only for worldly benefits. Rather, he has also been given greater discernment, intellect, and consciousness than animals, so that by using these faculties, he may recognize his true Master.
