Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
3. And by the parent (Adam) and what he begot [3],
[3] The Meaning of ﴿في كبد﴾:
The third oath is sworn by the life of Adam and all the children of Adam, that is, the entire human race. And all three oaths are taken to emphasize that the very creation of man is such that he spends his whole life enduring hardships, bearing pain and sorrow. These pains and afflictions may be natural, caused by others, or self-inflicted. "Kabid" means liver, which is a well-known human organ. In this word, there is a sense of hardship and strength, and ﴿في كبد﴾ is used idiomatically and expresses human nature. A desire arises in the human heart, and to fulfill it, he endures various kinds of pain and suffering, and before it is fulfilled, several more desires arise. Now he becomes ready to endure pain and hardship to fulfill them as well. In this way, his entire life passes. Then there are natural difficulties, those caused by others, and the ongoing struggle to defend against them, all of which are added to his burdens.
