The Repentance · Medinan · Juz 11 · Page 202

And of the bedouins there are some who believe in Allâh and the Last Day, and look upon what they spend in Allâh’s Cause as means of nearness to Allâh, and a cause of receiving the Messenger’s invocations. Indeed these (spendings in Allâh’s Cause) are a means of nearness for them. Allâh will admit them to His Mercy. Certainly Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

99. Yet among the desert Arabs are some [111] who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and consider what they spend as a means of nearness to Allah and the prayers of the Messenger. Indeed, it is truly a means of nearness for them. Allah will soon admit them to His mercy. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

The Character of the Bedouin Believers:

That is, these Bedouins are not all the same. Among them are also some who are true believers. They have been considerably influenced by the miraculous effect of the Quran and your teachings, and they spend in the way of Allah with eagerness and cheerfulness. When they spend, two objectives are before them: one is to attain nearness to Allah, and the other is the desire to receive your ﷺ supplication. Because Allah Almighty had guided you ﷺ that when you receive charity, you should supplicate for the giver. This is because your ﷺ supplication is a source of comfort for them. And the fruit of this supplication is also a means of Allah’s mercy and nearness to Him. Allah Almighty has given glad tidings to such people that indeed, the charity given by these people becomes a means of nearness to Allah, and they become deserving of Allah’s mercy.
