Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
On the Day when that (gold and silver) will be heated in the Fire of Hell, and their foreheads, sides, and backs will be branded with it (and it will be said): "This is what you hoarded for yourselves, so taste what you used to hoard." [36]
[36] The Warning for Not Paying Zakat:
For the explanation of this verse, consider the following hadiths: 1. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ says that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever Allah has given wealth and he does not pay Zakat, his wealth will be brought to him on the Day of Resurrection in the form of a bald-headed snake with two spots on its forehead. It will be made into a collar for him, then it will bite his jaws and say: 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.'" Then the Prophet ﷺ recited this verse from Surah Aal-e-Imran: ﴿وَلَايَحْسَبَنَّالَّذِيْنَيَبْخَلُوْنَبِمَآاٰتيٰهُمُاللّٰهُمِنْفَضْلهِٖهُوَخَيْرًالَّهُمْ ۭ بَلْهُوَشَرٌّلَّهُمْ ۭ سَيُطَوَّقُوْنَمَابَخِلُوْابِهٖيَوْمَالْقِيٰمَةِ ۭ وَلِلّٰهِمِيْرَاثالسَّمٰوٰتِوَالْاَرْضِ ۭ وَاللّٰهُبِمَاتَعْمَلُوْنَخَبِيْرٌ﴾[ بخاري كتاب الزكوٰة۔ باب اثم مانع الزكوٰة] 2. It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever owns gold and silver and does not pay its due, then on the Day of Resurrection, plates of fire will be prepared for him. These will be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides, forehead, and back will be branded with them. When they cool down, they will be reheated, and this will continue on that Day, the length of which is fifty thousand years. Eventually, when the judgment among the servants is finished, he will be shown either the path to Paradise or to Hell." [مسلم۔ كتاب الزكوٰة۔ باب اثم مانع الزكوٰة]
