Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and the true religion, so that He may make it prevail over all other religions [33], even though the polytheists may detest it.

The Purpose of Your Prophethood: The Ideological and Political Supremacy of Islam:

This does not mean that Allah sent the Messenger so that he would make the whole world Muslim. Rather, it means that among all the religions or systems of life prevalent in the world, Islam should be established as superior in terms of intellect, reasoning, and proof. For example, in the era of the Prophet, Judaism was a religion. Christianity, Magianism, hypocrisy, Sabianism, and the religion of the polytheists—all these religions had different beliefs. And according to these beliefs, their entire systems of life were organized. The purpose of the Messenger’s prophethood, according to Allah, is to establish the superiority and dominance of Islam over all these false religions’ systems of life. And in terms of intellect, reasoning, and proof, this superiority and dominance of Islam remains established to this day. Examples of false religions outside Arabia are Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, democracy, communism, etc. It is the duty of the scholars of Islam to prove, with arguments, the superiority and dominance of Islam over all such religions. This is the ideological superiority. And in terms of political superiority, Allah also kept it dominant for many centuries. Later, when moral decline and disunity appeared among Muslims, this blessing was taken away from them. And the principle is that as long as, and to the extent that, Muslims shape their system of life according to Islamic beliefs, to that extent Muslims will have political dominance and superiority over non-Muslim nations. This means that Islam inherently possesses the potential to achieve political dominance over all non-Muslim nations and ideologies as well, even if, due to the practical shortcomings of Muslims, this potential may not actually manifest.
