Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

101. And among the Bedouins around you there are some hypocrites, and among the people of Madinah as well, who persist in hypocrisy. You [114] do not know them, but We know them. We will punish them twice [115], then they will be returned to a great punishment.

[114]
The Cunning Hypocrites of Madinah:

That is, they are so clever and cunning, and their hypocrisy is so deep and mysterious that they do not let their hypocrisy become apparent, yet they remain firmly established upon it. Ordinary Muslims consider them to be true believers. Even you ﷺ, despite your prophetic insight, do not know them. Only Allah knows their hypocrisy, for He is aware of the intentions and secrets of hearts.

[115]
Two Punishments for the Hypocrites:

If the twofold punishment refers to the type of punishment, then one is the punishment of this world, the other is of the realm of Barzakh, and both of these must be endured before the great punishment of the Day of Resurrection. And if both punishments of this world are meant, then one punishment is the humiliation and disgrace before their own children and all the believers, which they have to endure when their hypocritical schemes are exposed. The second is the mental and spiritual anguish that continues to increase with the progress of Islam.
