Surah Al-Fajr (89) — Ayah 15

فَأَمَّا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَكْرَمَنِ ﴿15﴾
As for man, when his Lord tries him by giving him honour and bounties, then he says (in exultation): "My Lord has honoured me."
فَأَمَّا fa-ammā And as for
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ l-insānu man
إِذَا idhā when
مَا does
ٱبْتَلَىٰهُ ib'talāhu try him
رَبُّهُۥ rabbuhu his Lord
فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ fa-akramahu and is generous to him
وَنَعَّمَهُۥ wanaʿʿamahu and favors him
فَيَقُولُ fayaqūlu he says
رَبِّىٓ rabbī My Lord
أَكْرَمَنِ akramani has honored me
