Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

13. So your Lord unleashed upon them the scourge of punishment [10],

[10] The common factor in these three historical events is that all these nations were deniers of the Hereafter. And any individual or nation that does not believe in the Hereafter lives its life recklessly and unrestrained, and becomes involved in wickedness and immorality. And when they go beyond a certain limit, their measure of sins becomes full and they fall into the grip of Allah's punishment. The argument drawn from these events is that the belief in the Hereafter is not merely an imaginary concept, but a solid reality. And just as a person is shattered when he confronts a solid reality, so too has this been the fate of the deniers of the Hereafter in the past, and so it will be in the future.
