16. And I am also planning a plan [12].
[12] The disbelievers wish to devise such schemes, prepare such conspiracies, and accomplish such deeds by which the message of the Quran can be defeated. They want to extinguish the lamp of Islam with their breaths. In contrast, Allah is also devising a plan against them, that He will surely complete this light and will not let any scheme of the disbelievers succeed. It should be noted that here Allah Almighty has described the scheme or secret plan of the disbelievers with the word "kaid," and then attributed the reaction to Himself using the same word "kaid." Although Allah Almighty has no need for any scheme or secret plan, the answer is that it is an idiom among the Arabs that they use the same word for the reaction to any action, whether it is good or bad. This is called "mushakalah," and its explanation has already been given at several places.
