Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
3. And by the witness and what is witnessed [2].
[2] In verse number 2, ﴿اليوم الموعود﴾ refers to the Day of Resurrection, but regarding the expression of "witness" and "witnessed" in verse number 3, there is much difference of opinion. Some have said that "witness" refers to the day of Jumu'ah, which is present in every village and every city everywhere. And "witnessed" refers to the day of Arafah, when people from all corners of the world are present there. Some have said that "witness" refers to the day of sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) and "witnessed" refers to the day of Arafah, and so on. However, in terms of the coherence of the subject, the better interpretation seems to be that "witnessed" also refers to the Day of Resurrection, and "witness" refers to every individual from the creation who will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection and will witness the terrors of that day with their own eyes. And the fourth meaning is that "witness" refers to the Prophets and the righteous, and "witnessed" refers to their communities upon whom they will bear witness and thus establish proof against them.
