Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
21. And when the Quran is recited to them, they do not prostrate [16].
[16] After the recitation of this verse, one should perform sajdah (prostration), as is made clear by the following hadiths. Abu Rafi’ says that he performed the ‘Isha prayer behind Sayyiduna Abu Hurairahؓ. He recited this very surah and performed sajdah at ﴿يسجدون﴾. I asked, “What is this?” He replied, “I performed prayer behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He recited this very surah and performed sajdah, and I will always continue to perform sajdah in it.” And another narration from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairahؓ is as follows: “We performed sajdah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Surah ﴿اذا السماء انشقت﴾ and Surah Iqra.” [بخاری۔ کتاب الصلوۃ۔ باب سجود القرآن]
