The Literal Meaning of ﴿حار﴾:
﴿يَحُوْر﴾: ﴿حار﴾ means to wander around and then return to the same place from where one started. Thus, there are two fundamental aspects in the meaning of this word: (1) to wander, (2) to return. ﴿حار الماء﴾ fil-ghadeer means the water began to swirl in the pond, and the axis is that stick around which the spinning wheel revolves. That is, he did not even have the thought that after all these various worldly pursuits, ultimately he has to return to his Lord.
