Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

5. And when the wild beasts are gathered together [6],

[6] This too will be an effect of the terror of the Day of Judgment, and its impact on animals will be such that, for example, the snake will not be mindful of biting, nor the lion of tearing apart and devouring. All these wild animals will come out towards human settlements and cities, leaving their dens and lairs. Such a scene has been witnessed during times of flooding, where on a bundle of wood floating on floodwaters, both humans and snakes have taken refuge together. The snakes do not harm the humans, nor do the humans harm the snakes—everyone is preoccupied with their own survival. The same will be the case on the Day of Judgment: whether wild beasts, cattle, other animals, or humans, all will leave their homes and gather in the open fields. Another meaning of this verse could be, as mentioned in the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ؓ, that on the Day of Judgment, retribution will be taken for the injustices animals committed against each other—even if a horned goat struck a hornless goat, retribution will be taken for that as well. [مسلم۔ کتاب البر والصلۃ والادب۔ باب تحریم الظلم]
Then, after retribution, these animals will be turned into dust.
