And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you (in the Cause of Allâh), they are of you. But kindred by blood are nearer to one another (regarding inheritance) in the decree ordained by Allâh. Verily, Allâh is the All-Knower of everything.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

75. And those who believed afterwards and emigrated and strove alongside you [77]—they are also of you. But in the Book of Allah, blood relatives are nearer to one another [78]. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing of everything.

[77] That is, those who accept Islam, migrate, and participate in jihad after them will have exactly the same legal rights as ﴿وَالسّٰبِقُوْنَ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُهٰجِرِيْنَ وَالْاَنْصَارِ﴾. Because now all of them have become connected in one community. Due to precedence or lateness, there will be no difference in their duties and rights. In agreements, they will be equal partners. There will be no difference in the rulings of peace and war, inheritance, etc.

[78]
The Abrogation of Inheritance Rulings Based on Brotherhood:

According to this sentence, as well as verse 33 of Surah An-Nisa, the real heirs of inheritance are only close relatives, and the ruling that the Muhajirin and Ansar would become heirs of one another due to brotherhood was abrogated, because by then the economic condition of the Muhajirin had greatly improved. However, instructions regarding bequest, good conduct, kindness, and religious brotherhood for such brothers remain in effect, and this change in the rulings of inheritance occurred because Allah is fully aware of the conditions of the Muslims.
