Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
46. When they see it, it will seem to them as if they had stayed (in the world) only for an evening or a morning [29].
[29] Regarding past events, a person thinks that an incident which occurred decades ago is as if it happened just yesterday. This is the state of this worldly life, in which he observes the alternation of night and day and can calculate the months and years. However, in the realm of Barzakh, there will be no day or night, just as after three hundred years had passed over the People of the Cave, they could not determine whether they had slept in the cave for a whole day or just part of a day. Exactly this situation will occur for people on the Day of Resurrection, and the disbelievers, upon witnessing the Day of Resurrection, will think that their worldly life did not even last a full day. Alas, if only we had spent this short period in obedience to Allah Almighty and come here in that state.
