Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
30. (And it will be said to them), "Now taste! We will increase you in nothing but torment [19]."
[19] Some people think that when the inhabitants of Hell have endured its torment for a long period, their natures will become such that they will no longer feel the punishment as punishment, just as a poet has said: "When man becomes accustomed to pain, the pain disappears; so many hardships befell me that they became easy." This verse refutes their view, because the punishment given to the inhabitants of Hell will not remain in one state so that their natures become accustomed and habituated to it; rather, this punishment will continuously increase. Also, some people think that after a long period, there will come a time upon Hell itself when its fire will become dim or even extinguished, even if the inhabitants of Hell are still present in it. This verse also refutes the view of such people.
