Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The Distance and Benefits of the Sun:

﴿وَهَّاجاً﴾ ﴿الوهج﴾ means the sun or a blazing fire that has both heat and brightness. That is, the sun is a blazing sphere that provides both heat and light to humans and the inhabitants of the earth. This sun has been placed at a distance of 93 million miles from the earth. If this distance had been less, humans would have been scorched to death by the sun's heat, and if this distance had been more, humans would have frozen to death from the cold. Placing the sun at such an appropriate distance from the earth is a marvel of Allah Almighty's power.
