Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

23. Looking at their Lord [14].

Delight and Joy in the Vision of Allah:

It is also established from numerous ahadith that the believers will be honored with the vision of Allah in the Hereafter. They will be able to see Him as freely as they look at the moon. However, the disbelievers and the wicked will be deprived of the vision of Allah. [83: 15]

The Vision of Allah is the Greatest Blessing:

It is also explicitly mentioned in the Book and Sunnah that the vision of Allah will be a blessing greater than all the blessings of Paradise, and there will be such delight and joy in this vision that as long as Allah honors the people of Paradise with His vision, they will not even look towards any other blessing. Rather, they will gaze fixedly at Allah alone. When Allah spoke to Sayyiduna Musa ؑ in this world, there was so much pleasure in that conversation that Musa ؑ wished that those moments of conversation could be prolonged as much as possible. And in the vision, there will certainly be much more delight than in hearing.

Interpretations of the Rationalists:

Some rationalists have also tried to interpret the verses related to the vision of Allah, only because in this way a specific direction has to be determined for Allah. Whereas the Being of Allah is beyond the limits of directions and space. We would only say to these friends: who has made you obliged to conform all the verses and attributes of Allah to your own intellect? Why do you interfere unnecessarily in matters that are beyond your capacity? The correct path is that whatever Allah and His Messenger have said should be accepted as it is. Nothing but misguidance will be gained from the interference of human intellect in the attributes of Allah. As for the reason why the faces of the believers will be fresh and radiant, one reasonable reason is indeed the blessing of the vision of Allah, and the second reason is that all the conditions of the Day of Resurrection will occur according to their expectations. Because of this, they will be so happy that their faces will appear cheerful and bright.
