Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
13. On that Day, man will be informed of what he sent ahead and what he left behind [10].
[10] The Deeds Recorded in the Book of Deeds After Death:
On that Day, the book of deeds of every person will be placed before him. From this, he will himself come to know which good or bad deeds he earned and brought with him from the world, and which good or bad deeds he left behind in the world. The reward or punishment for these continued to be recorded in his book of deeds even after his death. As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever initiates a good practice in Islam, he will have its reward and the reward of those who act upon it after him, without their reward being diminished in the least. And whoever initiates an evil practice in Islam, he will bear its burden and the burden of those who act upon it after him, without their burden being diminished in the least." [مسلم۔ کتاب الزکوٰۃ۔ باب الحث علی الصدقۃ۔۔]
Also, the Prophet ﷺ said: "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity, such as if someone builds or dedicates something for public welfare; knowledge, such as if someone establishes a religious school from which people continue to benefit; and a righteous child who prays for him." [مسلم۔ کتاب الوصیۃ۔ باب ما یلحق الانسان من الثواب بعد وفاتہٖ]
